Aspiring hairstylists and barbers who are registered with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training have the opportunity to participate in this exclusive program. Throughout the 10-week training periods, our apprentices undergo immersive learning experiences, gaining hands-on expertise in the latest hairstyling techniques, salon management, client consultation, and more. Upon completing the program, apprentices will be one step closer to achieving their Journeyperson certificate, a significant milestone reaffirming their qualification and dedication within the hairstyling industry. To enroll in our program, you need to be a registered apprentice. If you’re not already registered, you can follow the steps outlined on the AIT website and click the ‘Apply Now’ button to start the process. It’s important to note that you don’t need a sponsor to register as an apprentice and begin the course. However, you will need a sponsor to complete the 1450 hours of work experience per year, which is required to be eligible for the provincial licensing exam.

Classes run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday

• Fades
• Hot Shaves
• Scalp Treatments

Apprentices will undergo theory and practical exams at the end of the 10-week period.

At the conclusion of the 10-week period, apprentices will be required to complete theory and practical exams for this stage.

The out-of-pocket cost of the course is $1,327.00 to enrollees, plus an additional $81 fee to cover costs of consumables.
